Yamaha Junior Music Course

For 4 and 5-year-old beginners, A class filled with musical activities to nurture creativity and help instill the basis for playing and expression through feeling and understanding music.

A preview class for young beginners ages 4 and 5 will be held on

• When: Tuesday August 27th at 5pm
• Where: Our school at 1412 Bank Street
• What: A demo class, about 30 minutes, to show you how we teach and to give the young student a chance to familiarize themselves with music lessons prior to registration.

Piano lessons aren’t the only way for your child to gain an appreciation of music. By surrounding them with musical activities, your child will be able to relax and have fun in an engaging, low-pressure environment. They’ll be learning the basics of music and not even realize it!

Experts agree that exposing your child to music from a young age can be highly beneficial. Learning musical theory can help them in other areas of their life as well. Hearing

Listening to wonderful music helps children:

• Develop emotional sensitivity
• Develop an ear for music
• Feel and express music in time rhythmically

Singing

Children love to sing! Singing develops:

• Self expression
• Correct tempo, rhythm, and pitch
• Understanding of note names

Playing

Performing songs introduces children to the joy of expressing music by themselves. Playing also helps students:

• Get familiar with the five-line staff and keyboard
• Express music with both hands

Creating

Junior Music Course experiences cultivate children’s:
