“I would advise new students to practice, but more importantly is to practice effectively. The time put into practicing will be lost if not practicing the right things. The teacher will tell the student exactly what and how they should practice and what to focus on in a piece. If the student does this he or she will master the piece much quicker and improve at a very satisfying rate. It might not be fun right away but when you can play a piece well it is very satisfying.”

“I would encourage all students to try hard and practice hard. When you pick a new song, try to learn it and don’t get discouraged when you mess up. You will be able to play it with time if you just focus and practice. So always practice and practice and never give up!”
