We are seeking a Sales Associate to take on the role of supporting our customers and Ottawa community with their questions, queries and purchases to give them the best experience possible.

We are a passionate piano store in Canada’s capital bringing music into homes, schools and venues one piano at a time for the last 54 years. A retailer of quality pianos since 1968 and home of Ottawa’s Yamaha Music School. We offer everything from portable keyboards to concert grand pianos.

About YOU

You are well organized. You are passionate about people, pianos and music, able to communicate brilliantly and emphatically. You will have a brilliant attention to detail and take pride in doing a job well for the lovely people in our city.

You are looking for something completely different from corporate life, that is flexible around the family.

You do not need to be a piano player, but it helps if you have an interest in music and perhaps took music lessons once upon a time.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing our customer communication channels and responding promptly to sales queries. This role involves managing multiple inboxes, and telephones.
• Processing music book sales
• Booking piano deliveries. Being the liaison between our customers and our piano delivery service.
• Booking piano tunings
• Piano dusting and some snail mail correspondence.
• Effective use of our point of sale software.

The role will involve:

• Working with a small team. Supporting and assisting our sales staff and owner.
• 16 hours a week, we are looking for someone to come in Friday and Saturday 9-5.
  • Training will be provided, with an hourly rate and graduated commission as you develop.
